Natalee Sparks, MS, BS (she/her)
Choctaw
Program Coordinator,
AIAN Learning at OHSU

Natalee was born in Oklahoma and moved around a lot during her upbringing, from the Great Plains of Oklahoma to the monuments of Washington DC, Texas suburbs, Georgia fields, and more. Her parents are Choctaw, and they instilled in her a strong passion for preserving the Choctaw language and helping others learn it. She began her academic journey at the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology with a focus on Human Health and Biology minor studies in Nonprofit Organizations and Chemistry. Doors opened to attend the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, where she pursued a Master's in Medical Anthropology, where her focus was on Native American health and policies. Natalee found her place at NNACoE in 2023 as the AI/AN Learning Coordinator. Her passion is all about boosting Native health advocacy and supporting the next generation of Native healthcare leaders. When she's not at NNACoE, you'll likely find her getting lost in a good book, finding a new coffee shop, and volunteering at various Native American-focused nonprofit organizations, such as Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.
